Handcrafted from black walnut and maple, this end-grain cutting board features a basket weave design created by alternating strips of maple throughout the rich, dark walnut. The contrast gives the board a woven look that changes depending on the angle you’re looking at it. A wide maple border frames the entire board, with a routed juice groove to help keep liquids where they belong instead of all over your counter. Because this is an end-grain board, the wood fibers are oriented vertically, allowing your knife edge to pass between the fibers rather than constantly cutting across them.
