Start with what the piece needs to do
An entry table, coffee table and kitchen board solve different problems. Describe where the piece will be used, the space available and what is not working about the item you have now.
Measurements, photos of the room and a rough sketch help turn an idea into a useful conversation. Include access constraints if a large piece needs to go through stairs or narrow doorways.
Use previous work as a reference
Current published examples include a black walnut entry table and a live edge coffee table. Their pages show the actual available photographs and descriptions. A previous build can help communicate a style without promising identical grain or dimensions.
The gallery keeps previous work visible after a piece is no longer available. Ask about something similar rather than assuming an old gallery piece is still for sale.
Agree the materials and scope
Share your intended use, preferred materials, rough budget and timing. The shop can discuss design options, a quote and practical pickup or delivery arrangements.
